Mesotherapy consists of injections of medication, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants into the very superficial layers of the skin where they remain. Here they act directly on the tissue where they were placed as opposed to medications injected intravenously, intra muscularly or subcutaneously. To sculpt fat, the medications are injected directly into the fat.

What can Mesotherapy treat?

Besides fat sculpting and weight reduction it can help restore hair growth by stimulating hair follicles. It can reduce fat deposits under the eyes and chin. It can help sagging skin by increasing skin elasticity. It is also used for numerous medical, non cosmetic conditions.

Is Mesotherapy painful?

The discomfort is minimal. A numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. When lipo-meltaway is done, swelling of the area is expected for 3-7 days, also minor soreness and some tingling afterwards. Usually there is some bruising which clears up in 1 week.

How many treatment sessions are needed?

They are variable depending on how much fat is present. Generally a minimum of 5 sessions is needed for lipo-meltaway. For cellulite, 10 sessions are required. The treatment schedule varies according to what problem needs to be corrected.

What is the average treatment cost?

Mesotherapy costs $350 - $450 per area per treatment. There is a $170 consultation fee. If the areas to be treated are smaller, the fees are priced accordingly.

How does Mesotherapy act on fat to reduce it?

Mesotherapy uses medications that target the receptors of the fat cells, causing the fat to leave the fat cell, and the fat cells to collapse. However, for weight loss we emphasize nutritional modification and an exercise program.
